It gets under freezing at night and hangs around the mid-thirties for most of the day. And there's a cold wind that's been blowing the last couple of days. And, of course, Izzy loves to get walked frequently, so I'm getting a nice warm parka to put on and off when I go outside. Rain is supposed to come in tomorrow, and depending on where the rain is coming from there will be snow from the top of the mountains to down in the valley where we are. If the rain is coming in on the Pineapple Express, from down around Hawaii, the temperature should go up. If it's coming from the Gulf of Alaska, I guess you could call it the Polar Bear Express, then all bets are off. I sent off for snow cleats, the kind you put on over the shoes, just in case we have any ice storms like we did last year. The city may not plow our little dead end street, but I at least want to be able to walk across the street to the Laurelwood where I can get a beer and a burger. Actually, I hardly drink beer anymore (my pants aren't so tight) and a cold beer may not be the choice for winters around here. I wonder if they make hot toddies.
