A chicken walking over wet cement. You may have missed this.
Ah, Spanish peanuts and a coke on report card day.
The little girl across the street drew this, called "Mom drinks". I'm pretty sure she's not editorializing about her mother drinking alcohol, just the same but it is pretty funny to me.
An unidentified super hero.
It rained a lot today. Izzy and I managed a quick one around our block. Otherwise, I planned my day for not going outside. I spent the day watching football. Our neighbor Nancy brought over a small loaf of bread she baked. It had cranberries (I think) and bits of walnut. Delicious. Nancy used to be a baker for Fred Meyer's, a grocery chain here in Oregon. So it was more an industrial operation because they had to supply dozens of Fred Meyer's across the state. Nancy became a shop steward so there is a connection for us, but she's really Joan's friend. It's nice that every once in awhile we get some baked goods. Praise the Lord for yeast.
The football this weekend was a lot better than it's been. The Giants creamed the Redskins, and that hasn't happened much this season. It's funny. Eli was supposed to be washed up, and the Giants haven't won much this year, but Manning is putting up better statistics than he'd done in his career. The Niners won today too. Got a lead and held on for dear life. Even better, the Raiders won too.
Iz is curled up and asleep next to Joan. The world outside is cold and dark and wet. It's nice and warm inside.
