Took a couple of days off from posting. Lindsay had to work on Christmas Day, someone's got to drive the ambulances. Very festive. Meanwhile her dog Cooper enjoys curling up in a blanket on chilly nights.
Now that Kinsley is a unicorn, complete with horn, unicorn t-shirt and unicorn wand, it's time for her to teach at the stuffed animal school on the couch. At least that's what it looks like. Reminds me of Robin as the teacher with her "can kids" on the kitchen floor.
We're old folks. We don't do much. Christmas was walking the dog, taking a nap, getting up and watching basketball on TV. That was pretty much it. Joan did try a new recipe, ground turkey and sweet potato hash. It was actually pretty good.
However, it apparently was a pretty cool day for Kinsley. Two and a half and suddenly she's talking on and on. Apparently, her Christmas started out in Pacifica and moved across the Golden Gate Bridge to Great Grandma Jan's house. And Bridget was down from Seattle with her two little girls. It looked like a lot of fun. You could see in one or two pictures of the pictures that there were adults sitting back with glasses of wine in their hands. Okay, here goes.
That's the tail end of your great granddaughter. The little princess of Pacifica.
And with a little more coverage than the Princess, here is Ramona. The first picture is her decorating her tree. The second picture is her with her parents on a last-minute. She appears to be dancing in front of the mirror while trying on ear muffs. The final picture is her artistic rendering of a penguin falling into the water.
Go check your email for a picture of another one of your great grandchildren.
I guess they have bonded.
Let me see. Aside from the usual we got groceries. You order from a website on the internet then go pick up your order the next day. There are parking spots with two-way radios, to let them know you're there to pick up. The world changes. I remember a grocery store, I think it was in Keyport, being in line to check out.
Joan had a package to return at the UPS store. And she dropped off a pair of slacks at the cleaners to get hemmed. Then we unloaded the groceries. When that was done there were no more highlights.
The folks across the street took Ramona to the Lloyd Center, where there's a rink, to learn how to ice skate. Apparently, everything was successful.
Things are just fine here, except that our Warriors lost tonight. It was in Salt Lake City so maybe it was the altitude. They couldn't hit the basket. Oh well.
Joanie and I had a lovely peaceful day. Nothing happened besides me driving over to Safeway and picking up some groceries. No problems driving, but getting in and out of the car gave me a twinge in the knee. I've got one of those handicapped parking things, so it's nice to always (almost always) get a good parking spot near the store. I've been putting in lots of time with my book. Did my laundry yesterday, Joan started her's today. Oh, and our neighbor Bill (across the street and down one) dropped by and gave us some cookies he made before he left to visit family up in Washington State.
That was the highlight. We had tacos for dinner, which would have been the highlight if Bill hadn't brought cookies.
