That's the top of Kinsley's head and Robin's shoes in the picture. Apparently Robin took her over to her high school.
Nothing much going on here today. It was a beautiful day. Joan went down to the pool to work out with her friends. Izzy and I took our walks. That's pretty much it.
Tuesday was National Cheeseburger Day, so for lunch I walked over to the food carts, there's a burger and hot dog stand there among all the different foreign food carts. There's a Golden Triangle with food from the Laos, Vietnam, that corner of the world. There's a Thai cart that's done so well there that they are going to open a restaurant at the airport. There's a Mexican cart, a Chinese cart, a Vietnamese cart, a Guamese cart, a Tibetan food cart, a breakfast cart, another American food cart, there's a cart that makes wraps (American food in flour tortillas), and last but not least, a barbeque cart. I've only eaten there twice, a brisket sandwich once, and a rack of ribs which lasted us a few meals. Between the carts and home are the Laurelwood, the pub across the street from us, and Sheridan's (aka the 52nd Street Bar). The Laurelwood has pub food, nothing really great but they brew lots of different beers and ales. Good ones. Unfortunately, now that I've given up beer it doesn't have the same allure. Sheridan's actually makes some good nachos, and since it's a sports bar it's got lots of TVs. But, again, it's hard to sit in a bar for three and a half hours and not consume some alcohol, so except for a couple of times five or six years ago I haven't been in the place.
There are more places up the block, but I'll cover those things later.
