There were a lot of brain cells used to deal with my medical care this morning. The scheduling for the knee replacement. I've got a total knee joint class on 9/13, on 9/24 I have a pre-operative class, on 10/2 I have a meeting with the doctor, on 10/5 I have a telephone interview with a nurse, and the operation is on the 12th. The post-op is on 10/26. With all these meetings and classes and exams I thought I'd better call the office to find out what this was going to cost me. Fifty bucks.
And a lot of time. But since this really the first major surgery I've had, I guess this is all good, to prepare me. It's gonna be a load on Joan. We pick him up after school on Thursdays and Fridays.
After you have the surgery they send you home with an air conditioning thing you wear around your surgically repaired knee.
I came home with lots of things to read, and a DVD that I'm supposed to watch. I actually did watch it, but it was very dull. I'll try to watch closer to the appointments.
