The rest of the pictures. Robin wants to know when you'll get back to your usual place. Me too.
Tonight before I go to bed I have to wash myself with the special anti-bacterial soap that they gave to me. Have to do it tonight (Tuesday) and the next two days so that Friday I'll be clean for the operation.
Meanwhile, I had yet another pre-surgery meeting today, had an EKG and have to go to the lab tomorrow to have my nose swabbed. I still have another appointment, to meet the surgeon. And then it's the surgery. And then all the rehab.
Meanwhile, nothing much happened over here. It rained today. All the Oregon teams lost today. Nancy from down the street took Izzy with her own dog on a long walk, which was great because when Izzy goes on long walks she sleeps. She's sleeping now.
Meanwhile, we went to Kaiser so that Joan could get her glasses. She had to hand in her current glasses so that Kaiser's optic lab could measure the size of the lenses so that they could make lenses from her new prescription and put them in her own glasses.
Izzy had a rough day. The cleaning lady was over and worked on the house from about one to five and, of course, Izzy was incredibly bothered by her being there. She lived through it so I gave her a good belly rub this evening.
But where are you? Are you still fighting an infection in the hospital, or are you back to your place? Maybe you could drop me an email.
Not a terribly interesting day besides me getting the second birthday card from Judy. But it was my birthday. Great big steaks. Before that we picked up Oliver at his school. He was excited because he learned how to make a paper airplane. Oh, and the place was a mess, traffic-wise. Most of one side of the block was taken up by construction. The traffic was a mess there. We were sitting in stuck traffic and a woman on a three-wheeler bike rode right in front of us. We turned the corner and a Fed Ex truck was double-parked in front of the school. Bad timing. In any case, while Joan circled the block I secured O and we came back here, watched a little TV and then he got out some toys he has here and played on the floor. Right after his Mommy picked him up the steaks were grilling. I'm sixty-eight. Hard to believe.
I am going to try to send you a couple of O pictures, via your email.
I'm feeling a tad nauseous and I've got a roaring case of diarrhea, so I'm taking the night off. It could have been something at tonight's block party (there are many blocks in Portland), or it could have been something else.
