Republicans in the House (and to a lesser degree in the Senate) have been demanding that Obama put up a plan to cut Social Security.
Of all federal programs, Social Security, without any action, is totally solvent for another 25 years. It will still be producing surpluses for at least a dozen years.
There is no reason to cut Social Security, but the Republicans want to cut it. I know a few Republicans. I've never heard that they want their Social Security benefits cut.
Are there any Republicans out there who support the people in Congress who want to cut benefits to Social Security in order to somehow preserve tax cuts for millionaires?
I keep asking and all I get is a deafening silence.
